Mendlesham signThe rural and picturesque Parish of Mendlesham in the county of Suffolk is located just west of the A140 between Ipswich and Norwich, and is 19 miles from both Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.

The Parish is made up of Mendlesham village and the small hamlets of Mendlesham Green and Tan Office.  Mendlesham's history can be traced back to 1086 and the Parish has many historic and interesting buildings.  The attractive and picturesque heart of the village is a designated conservation area and includes the beautiful Church of St Mary the Virgin in Mendlesham dating from 1086, containing an ancient Armoury.

Mendlesham village has a range of key services including a GP surgery and health centre, a growing primary school, shops, public house and post office.

Mendlesham is a connected Parish; Norwich via the A140, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge via the A14; regular services to London via Stowmarket railway station; regular bus services to Ipswich, Stowmarket, Diss and the surrounding villages.

There is a strong community spirit with local groups, clubs and sports facilities and a good green infrastructure of footpaths, community woodland and playing fields.
