A vibrant community
With the ongoing Covid-19 lockdowns, we have decided to re-open the club virtually over Zoom on Monday mornings at 10AM. The Monday calls alternate between tutorial sessions covering a large range of topics and Surgeries where members can call in for individual advice and help. Click here for our crib sheet on using Zoom. While we are working virtually we will not be making our usual charge.
We are keen to help other societies in the village to re-open and are happy to help set up, offer technical support and host your Zoom meetings at no cost. If you are interested, please send us an email. Our Zoom calendar is here
The Mendlesham Computer Club meets weekly to provide internet access and computer tuition for all ages and abilities. Many topics are covered in a very informal atmosphere. So whether you are an absolute beginner, returning to work, or a job seeker looking to enhance your I.T. skills, Mendlesham Computer Club is here to help and to bring fun to I.T.
Tuition is provided for those who need assistance, or you can simply come along to use the computers and laptops for your own purposes. Those who bring their own laptops will be able to log on to the Club's free wireless internet connection.
Learn to use a computer, tablet, mouse and printer so that you will be able to write letters, write and print a CV, shop and bank online, search the Web, make video phone calls, search out (cheaper) prices online, use ‘comparison’ websites, download, edit and file photos, use email and social media, play games, improve office skills AND much more.
We meet on Mondays between 10:00 and 12:00 virtually over Zoom, but hope to return to the Old School Room in Mendlesham when Covid restrictions are lifted. Please see below for what we will be covering in the next sessions.
While we are operating virtually, sessions will be free of charge, when we return to face-to-face sessions they will cost £5.00 (your first visit is free), refreshments will be provided, and no membership is required. Any profits form the club are invested back into the local community.
Click here for links to the topics we have covered over the years. We also provide a 'Crib sheet' of hints and tips to accompany our meetings, please click here for the latest (work in progress) version.
